BRIDGE FOR STUDENTS LONDON. Nov. 19. “University undergraduates should be made to improve their minds by playing bridge instead of attending lectures,” declared Sir James Jeans, in a speech at the National Institute of Industrial Psychology He ad ed: “Bridge teaches you to make rapid decisions, plan a course of action, and estimate odds. It also teaches qualities of courtesy and tact in which a man who concentrates too much n mathematics and physics may be deficient.”
