SUNDAY SERVICES

The Rev. D. C. Herron, M.A., will conduct both services in Knox tomorrow, his subject in the evening being “Sheltering Behind Circumstances.” The choir will sing the anthem “ Hark, Hark My Soul! ” and the soloists will be Misses Rae Stubbs and Doris Darracott. At First Church to-morrow the preacher will be the Rev. W. H. Johnson. In the morning the quartet “ O Come Everyone that Thirsteth ” (Mendelssohn) will be sung, and the evening anthem will be “ Come, Ye Faithful” (Thatcher). Dr Galway will be at the organ. The services at the Methodist Central Mission will be conducted in the morning by the Rev. Leslie B Neale, and in the evening the Rev. E. T. Cox, M.A., will be the preacher The soloist at. the evening service will be Mr Grahame M’Kinlay. Mr R. N. Ridd will be the speaker at the Spiritualist Church to-morrow evening, when his subject will be “ Opportunity.” The Healing Centre will meet on Monday at 8 o’clock In St. Stephen’s Church the preacher will be the Rev. Thomas Miller. At the morning service his subject will be “ The Holy Spirit’s Threefold Work,” and his subject at the evening service will be “ The Christian’s Reward.” The Rev. J. Ewen Simpson will conduct both services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church. In the morning a “ Family Pew Service ” will be held, at which the subject will be “ Religion in the Home.” In the evening the subject will be “A Message to the Bewildered.” Messrs J. Simpson and D, Bridges will sing “So Thou Liftest Thy Divine Petition,” and the choir will present the anthem, “ O Gladsome Light.” At the Theosophical Society the “Ceremony of Light” will be performed by the young people, together with a short address and sacred solo. The services at the Salvation Army, Dowling street, to-morrow will be conducted by Mrs Adjutant Mahaffie. The' happy hour gathering in the afternoon at 3 p.m. will be conducted by Sisters Higman and Pocklington. Mr Hudspith, from Bolivia, will be the speaker in the Gospel service in the evening. Mi Hudspith is a powerful speaker, and he has a message for the times. At the Greater World Christian Spiritual mission the services will be conducted by the Rev. Gertrude Brooks. The subject will be “The Ministry of Angels.” Spiritual clairvoyance and an after circle will follow the address, and the usual meeting will be held on Wednesday To-morrow’s services at the United Congregational Church, Albany street, will be conducted by the Rev C. G. Hedley Bycroft. The morning service will be a continuation of the series of one word studies, the word “ Delieht ” being chosen for the topic “ What Is Your Life ” will be the subject at the evening service. when Mrs L, J. Smith will render a solo. “Who Would Be a Coward? ” will be the subject of the Rev. C. H. Olds at Trinity Methodist Church tomorrow evening. The anthem will be “ The Lord Is My Shepherd.” and Miss Jean M’Lay will be the soloist In the morn'ng Mr Olds will sneak on “ William Tyndale; Scholar, Saim, Martyr.”
