COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
Mr and Mrs W. R. Hudson gave a delightful 5 o’clock party at (heir residence, Tweed street, yesterday afternoon, to celebrate the coming-of-age of their eldest daughter, Miss Zoe Hudson. Refreshments were served : n the hall, the lounge, and the dining room which, with their handsome oak panelled walls and Wedgwood plaque friezes needed no other adornment than the brightly coloured dishes of savouries and the flat bowls of flowers set out on the tables. Mrs'Hudson chose a gown of Lido blue crepe with full sleeves embroidered in silver; Miss Zoe Hudson was in a cocktail suit of brown cloquc
with a tunic of richly patterned French satin; and Miss Chris Hudson was in brown and white checked taffeta. An array of valuable birthday presents was displayed in Miss Hudson’s room. The guests amused themselves by dancing in a large lounge below stairs, and sitting out on the balconies. The party was a success in every way, and a fitting recognition of the guest of honour’s coming-of-age. Among those present were; Mr and Mrs Richard Hudson, Mr and Mrs Ambrose Hudson.
