ASSOCIATED CHAMBERS
A NEW CONSTITUTION DRAFTING COMMITTEE APPOINTED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 20. A motion to set up a committee to draft a new constitution for the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand was unanimously adopted at the annual meeting. Following Mr Norton Francis’s address. Mr M. G. M’Caul (vice-presi-dent) said it was to be regretted that the finances of the association had decreased during the year. It was important that businessmen should safeguard their interests, especially in a period of experimental legislation. Nothing could' be done without a war GREATER PUBLICITY URGED The need for adequate publicity for the views of business men on the social and economic questions of the day was emphasised when the question of establishing a suitable journal for the Associated Chambers was discussed.
