KENSINGTON SCHOOL

SPRING FLOWER SHOW The annual spring flower show and home industries exhibition were held in the Kensington School on Friday afternoon and evening, when an excellent display of blooms was staged. The increased number of entries was evidence of the growing popularity of this annual event, there being large entries in practically all sections. A most interesting feature of the show was a very comprehensive display of children's work, there being some excellent entries in the drawing, mapping, and writing sections. Some very good models—maps, aeroplanes, animals, boats, etc. —were also exhibited. During the evening the Boys' Brigade Band rendered selections. The staff and committee are indebted to the following women and men who judged the various sections: —Flowers and vegetables, Mr F. Perrett; needlework, Mrs Sutherland and Mrs Hanna; baking and sweets, Mr A. Laurenson; children's handwork, Mr C. Rawlinson.
