A specially designed watch has been made by the National Institute for the Blind for the use of an ex-serviceman who lost his sight and both his hands in the war. A small projection on the lid enables him to open the watch with his teeth, and he can then tell the time by "reading the raised figures on the Braille dial with the tip of his nose." Advertising points out the merits of a product and impresses the buyer with its desirability.
