The imported colt Starwyn was with the leaders at the home: turn in the Westward Ho Handicap, but did not finish in the first half-dozen.-Indianapolis Indianapolis is reported to be in excellent order, to: carry on with a preparation for coming engagements. Nobleman Nobleman's sulky was badly buckled during the race for the Methven Cup. He came out later and paid a big dividend in the Visitor's Handicap. Recovered J. J. Kennerley is again supervising the work of his team at Addington. He got a bad fall at the August meeting, but has made a good recovery. Morello Morello, the winner of the Methven Cup. did not gain a place in 12 starts last season He scored his previous win at the Ashburton winter meeting of 1935. Totalisator Too Small The totalisator at the Methven meeting was unable to cope with the betting. The last race was run 35 minutes after time. Saddle Sitters A field of 25 started in the Mount Hutt Handicap which was decided under saddle at the Methven meeting.' A Buckled Wheel Easter Prince was quietly fancied at Methven, but after lying fourth into the straight he drifted, through one of the sulky wheels being buckled. He is worth remembering. A Protest The Judicial Committee was called tdgether once during the afternoon at the Methven meeting to consider a protest lodged by P. Gallagher, ownerdriver of Indian Scout, on account of alleged interference by G. Cameron, driver of Guy Hugo, in the Riverbank Handicap. The protest was dismissed, but through several causes the inquiry lasted a considerable time and was not concluded until the totalisator had closed for the last race.
