LITTLE THEATRE BIRTHDAY PARTY
A large and hilarious band of merrymakers celebrated the birthday of the Little Theatre at Victoria Hall on Saturday night. The hall was decorated with streamers and a profusion of spring flowers, and here the spirit of carnival held sway, fancy costumes, masks, and hats being very much in evidence. An orchestra added to the success of the evening, and many dances, old and new, were enjoyed by A delightful minuet was presented by Miss Holland and seven charming young ladies—Misses Alice Priest, Betty Allan, Doris Wallace-Watson, Betty Pilling Isobel Clark, Molly Doig, and Patsy Stephens. The accompanist was Miss Pearl M'Elroy, and the soloist Miss Gwenda Burt.
Those responsible for stalls were:— (Ice cream) Mr S. Lock; (pies) Miss Renee M'Neil; (saveloys) Miss Audrey Watson; (punch bowl) Mrs Calder; and supper—Mesdames A. C. Stephens, M Shiel, Glue, and W. J. White.
