THE KUROW MEETING
The Kurow Jockey Club will hold its annual meeting to-day and will, no doubt, as usual attract a good attendance if the weather is in anything like a favourable mood. The race meeting at Kurow has always been a popular picnic outing, and attracts patrons from a widespread area. This year the fields are not numerically strong, and in danger of further shrinkage unless some of the horses are saddled up twice during the day. The following may be amongst those fancied for the various events:— High-weight Handicap. Poniard Royal i Gallant. Trial Handicap.—Rousseau. Wine Card. Waitaki Trot. —Glencree, Donald Dhu. - T. A. Munro Handicap.—Silver Lark, Silver Sail, Pink Paper. Kurow Cup. Polydora, Queen Dorothy. Hakataramea Trot.—Sylvie’s Best, Master Garry. Novice Plate.—Rousseau, Last Dance.
