THE WEATHER
The weather yesterday was mild, though no sunshine was recorded. There was a fresh breeze from the north-east, and the barometer tended to fall. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, August 19. The weather was overcast to-day, with a fresh north-easterly wind. Rain threatened in the afternoon and conditions were warm. The barometer remained steady at 30.20 in. WELLINGTON, August 19. There was an occasional trace of light rain in the early part of the morning, and for the most part the day was cloudy, but mild, with a light northerly wind. The minimum temperature during last night was 51.0 degrees, and the maximum to-day 55.4 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, August 19., The sky was clouded over most of the day, but the temperatures were warm, the minimum on Tuesday night being 40.0 degrees and the maximum to-day 56.4. A very light north-east breeze blew throughout the day, the barometer remaining steady at 30.07 in.
