WEALTHY MAN'S BEQUESTS LIFE-LONG AMBITION REALISED (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 19. The fulfilment of a lifelong ambition is given effect to in the will of Mr John Henry Hannan, a well-known business man, who died on August 9 leaving more than 60 house properties in the city. The mutual desire of his wife and himself was that part of his fortune should be bequeathed to the welfare of the children of Auckland. Mrs Hannan died two years ago. Mr Hannan's will has been sworn for probate at £60,000. Specific bequests totalling £I9OO have been made to charitable institutions, and the residuary is estimated to produce £30,000, to be'equally divided among the following institutions:— Leslie Presbyterian Orphanage. Meadowbank Methodist Trust Board, Auckland, for children's homes. Manurewa Children's Home. « Anglican Orphans' Home, Papatoetoo. The Community Sunshine Association.
