CONCERT AT TALBOYS HOME
The monthly concert given by the South Dunedin Labour Party was held on Wednesday night, when the following artists rendered items:—Musical trio—Messrs T. Mawer, King, and King; steel guitar duet, Messrs Laurie and Maaka; pianoforte solo, Master Gilbert Smith: duet, Mr and Mrs J. Smith: bagpipe duet, Messrs Matheson and Hornell; trombone solo, Mr Stuart Henderson. Songs were given by Mrs Magan, Mrs T. Black, Mrs Walton. Mr J. Douglas, Mr J. Rogers, Mr D. White, and the accompanists were Mrs Stevens, Mrs Douglas, Ivy Parker, and Mr E. King. During the evening several artists went across to the hospital wards and rendered items, and .Mrs Nash and Mrs Don distributed sweets to the old people. Mr Ruth thanked, on behalf of the old people, the various artists for their enjoyable and willing services.
