A BUILDING BOOM
ACTIVITY IN AUCKLAND (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 18. Pdxceptional building activity in Auckland is indicated in the near future. Large numbers of applications for loans for home building are being received by the post offices under the State Advances Corporation scheme, while the Government’s housing scheme should also benefit the building trade considerably. In the meantime, there is much building -going on in Auckland and the suburbs, and in several towns in (he Auckland province there is almost a building boom.
