THE WEATHER
There was a fresh breeze from the north-east yesterday, but the sun shone brilliantly and temperatures were warm. The barometer rose steadily to 30.15 inches. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, August 18. Fine weather, with a light northerly wind, was experienced to-day. The barometer rose during the day to 30.25 inches. , , „ WELLINGTON, August 18. Wellington experienced a beautiful mild spring-like day to-day, with a light northerly wind. The minimum temperature during Monday night was 48.2 deg, and the maximum to-day was 59 9dG£ CHRISTCHURCH, August 18. The sun shone brightly this morning, but the sky clouded over early in the afternoon, and the temperature fell. The minimum temperature last night was 26.2 degrees, and the maximum today 53.3 degrees. The barometer has been climbing steadily all day, reading 30.15 inches at 7.30 p.m.
