AUDACIOUS THIEF
Rings valued at £4OO were stolen by an impudent thief from the jeweller's shop of Mr David Elkin, in Commercial road, London East, on a recent night. A man entered the shop and asked to see a tray of rings. An assistant produced some rings, which the man began to examine. Suddenly he struck the assistant on the jaw, snatched up the tray and ran from the shop. It is believed that he made oil in a waiting car.
