When Ihc wind blows, Ihe National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum, Wellington, although officially only a few days old, acquires a ghost worthy of the oldest pile in the northern hemisphere It has a wailing crescendo note that, while it is reminiscent of a fire alarm just outside, is sufficiently plaintive to be definitely determined as something psychic, and therefore archaeologically desirable. According to those who erected the building, it is unaccountable. While this disposes of some theories, it does not get rid of the noise, which is loudest immediately on entering the building.
