BALL AT SEACLIFF
The Seacliff Public Hall Committee's second annual ball was held in the Public Hall. Despite the wintry con ditions there was a good attendance for the night’s entertainment from Dun edin and the surrounding neighbour hood The hall was prettily decorated with coloured streamers and coloured lights. The grand march was led by Mr and Mrs Chestney. Some pretty dresses were in evidence. Amonc those present were: Mesdames Chest ne y, wearing white satin with black velvet coatee; O’Hara, printed floral satin; M’Leod, black silk with lac* fichu: Ireland, blue marocain dress Bell, grey and prune coloured gown; Robson floral silk and black velvet coatee; Nicholson, Kenya suede silk: Murrav, <black satin: Lloyd, black crepe and gold lame; Standring, black geor gette; and H. M’Clay, black georgeltwith white velvet coatee Misses Mavis Maker, powdei blue georgette and lace; Reine Lome, for-get-me-not blue lace: lona Gray, cherry and black and white check; Verona Gray, white silk with powder blue flowers: Molly O’Connell, soft green and silver lame; J. M’Diarrmd, brown crepe marocain with white bead flowers; Eva Edmonson, midnight blue satin with velvet coatee: A. Stewart, blue marocain with sequin bolero; J. Taylor, black georgette; S. F. Couper, black georgette with silver lame: Incs Singleton, scarlet organdie: Milne, brown suede crepe; M. J. Strachan, pink satin and tulle; C. H. Wilson, navy angel skin; H. Cronin, flame crepe and silver lame; H. Weatherston, apple green georgette; M. E Pell, apricot silk velvet: M. Pratt, powder blue suede crepe; M. Storey, blue taffeta: E. Brown, red suede crepe; J. Ferguson, floral georgette: Irene Sullivan. white marocain; M. Gray, black frock with rod flowers; D. Dickson, shell pink satin and net: J. Hayward, French crepe and silver lame; M.
