THE WEATHER
Mild conditions, with a very slight breeze from the north-east, were experienced yesterday. The barometer continued to fall, the evening reading being 29.65. The maximum temperature was 59 degrees. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, August 10. . There was a continuation of the fine weather and a light northerly wind until late this afternoon. Afterwards the conditions were overcast and showery. The barometer was steady at 29.95 in after mid-day. ; WELLINGTON, August 10. The weather to-day was fine and sunny, but with a squally and strong north-westerly wind throughout the day. The maximum temperature was 55.0 deg. CHRISTCHURCH, August 10., The weather to-day was gloriously fine and sunny, but clouded over in the middle of the afternoon. The maximum temperature during the day was 55.9 degrees, but the minimum last night was 23.1. The barometer was steady, registering 29.80 inches at 7.30 p.m.
