GOOD TEMPLARY
The Rescue Lodge, No. 105 (1.0.G.T.), held its weekly meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall, Kensington, on Tuesday last, Chief Templar Bro. W. A. lies presiding over a good attendance of members. The superintendent of juvenile work, Bro. T. Brooks, reported favourably on the Star of the South Juvenile Temple, after which the election of officers was held, resulting as follows:—Chief Templar, Bro. M. M'Curdy; vice-templar, Sister D. Miller; chaplain, Sister Gain (reelected); P.C.T., Bro. W. A. lies; marshal, Bro. V. Rowe; secretary, Bro. R. Hall (re-elected); financial secretary, Sister L. M'Donald, jun. (re-elected); reporter, Bro. T. Brooks (re-elected); sentinel. Sister R. Smith; guard, Sister Miller, jun. The report was received from the Anniversary Concert Committee. Sister lies reported on Sister Hughes, who had been in hospital, and it was hoped that she would soon be present again. The Star of the South Juvenile Temple, No. 15. held its weekly meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall. Kensington, on Tuesday last. Chief Templar Sister M. Middlemiss presided over a fair attendance of members, with Superintendent Bro. T. Brooks in charge. The Rev. Mr Tasker, of the Methodist Central Mission, spoke to the members on the evils of alcohol, and urged all members to keep true to their pledge. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Chief Templar. Sister E, Gibbs; V.T., Sister Gibbs, jun.: P.C.T., Sister M. Middlemiss; financial secretary, Sister C. Herbert; secretary, Sister P, Bundo; guard, Bro. Bundo. The assistant secretary and sentinel were also elected. Practice was held for the anniversary concert.
