Typical carefree tendencies of the Maori race were in evidence on Springens Park Rugby football ground, Wanganui, on Saturday in a match between Ratana and Technical Old Boys. One Maori player, unable to locate shorts or boots, went without both. He need a pair of long trousers tucked into a vivid pair of blue socks and was thus easily distinguishable from bis fellows. Another Native without hoots played in socks. “So lone as the Maori hots have a game, that’s all that worries them,” one of the Ratana supporters on the line.
