UNEMPLOYED WORKERS’ MOVEMENT

GENERAL MEETING. The general meeting of the Dunedin Central branch of the N ational Unemployed Workers’ Movement was. held in the Trades Hall on Tuesday evening. Mr R Wilkinson (vice-president) presided over a very large attendance of members and their wives. A large amount of important correspondence was read and dealt with. A protest was also carried, to be sent, to the Minister of Public Works, drawing his attention to the manner of men being dismissed from various jobs without Ins consent or knowing anything about it.
