SOUTHLAND POWER BOARD
NEGOTIATIONS WITH GOVERNMENT ENDED

INVERCARGILL, June 18,
The Southland Electric Power Board, at a meeting to-night, passed a resolution rescinding the resolution passed in March >« favour of a referendum of ratepayers on the question of handing over the board’s scheme to the Government. This means that negotiations so far as the board is concerned for the handing over of the scheme are at an end.
