The following Is the official weather foreA deep depression still lies to the east of the North Island, but Its after-effects have been modified by a series of secondary depressions advancing across the south Tasman Sea. one of which is now moving on to southern New Zealand: an anti-cyclone covers Australia and the north Tasman Sea. Indications are for: Winds—Strong, but decreasing southwesterly north of New Plymouth and Napier; elsewhere north-westerly to westerly, backing shortly again In places to south-westerly; moderate but Increasing, especially about Cook and Fovennx Straits. Seas—New Zealand Wafers—Rough between Castlepolnt and East Capo, but decreasing: rough also north of Cape Egmpnt and about Foveaux Strait: elsewhere moderate, but rising south of Capo Egmont.—Eastern Tasman SeaModerate to strong west to south-west winds, with rather rough to rough seas. WAITAKI TO SAIL. The Waltakl Is now to sail this morning for Bluff and Melbourne. WAIRUNA WITH PHOSPHATES. With a full cargo of phosphates from Nauru Island, the JJnlon Company’s Wntruna Is due at Auckland on June 21. MATAROA AT WELLINGTON. The Shaw, Savill vessel Mataroa was expected to reach Wellington last evening from Southampton to discharge malls and allow passengers to disembark. She was to sail again for Lyttelton to commence discharge, and Is duo here on Thursday of next week. - CANADIAN CRUISER. 11. L, Taplcy and Co. advise that the Canadian Cruiser will call at Bluff before coming to Dunedin. She Is due hero on July 2 to discharge cargo from Halifax and other Atlantic ports. MANUKAU BEACONS. The Marine Department advises that the lighted loading beacons In the new main channel, Mamikau Bar, are now In line, bearing 074 degrees, and lead through the new channel which has formed half a mile northward of the old one. The rear beacon Is now the centre of the signal man’s house. MARIPOSA’S PASSENGERS. .
