AUCKLAND, June 17. A fresh to strong south-west wind and changeable weather prevailed to-day, occasional light showers being experienced during the morning and sunshine in the afternoon. The barometer was rising all day and registered 29.85 in at 5 p.m. WELLINGTON, June 17. The weather in the early part of the morning was overcast, but gradually cleared and the afternoon was fine one sunny.
