Salmon, S.M., for disorderly conduct, and a similar penalty was indicted for assaulting Constable Fleming in the execution of his duty. Counsel for the accused said the occasion was his twenty-first birthday, and lie had had some drink.
The magistrate intimated that in view of his previous good character he would not inflict imprisonment, but would certainly impose a penalty that would remind him of his twenty-first birthday.
