A FORCED LANDING
PLANE NEAR BRISBANE MR W. M. HUGHES INJURED BRISBANE, June 11. (Received June 12. at 0.15 a.m.) A private Monospar aeroplane which was conveying Mr W. M. Hughes, Federal Minister of Health, and another passenger from Sydney to Brisbane today made a forced landing at Beaudesert, 47 miles from Brisbane, owing to bad weather and poor visibility. Mr Hughes's collarbone was broken and he suffered severe shock, but the pilot and the other passenger were not hurt. The plane's wing and undercarriage were broken. Details are meagre.
Mr Hughes a few weeks ago was in jured in a car accident.
