Let mankind -beware of antagonising the working women of America. They may unite and co on strike in retribution. The other week Miss Char] Ormond Williams, president of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club* of America, painted the picture of the country's 10,000,000 feminine employees away from their jobs. The telephone exchanges in every town would be obliged to close. Many men would have difficulty in securing: a comfortable breakfast if they awoke to a maidlesg household. . . Pity the strangle of a man executive without hie faithful secretary. . . Fane? the pliaht of aeroplane passengers without the comforting ministrations of thr stewardess, The public schools would V forced to close for lack of teachers.''
