KRUSE BEATS RUSSELL (Peb United Press Association) THAMES, June 10. The professional bout between Kruse and Russell drew a large crowd last night, the former winning by two falls to one. Russell was awarded the first fall in the third round, following a scries of elbow jolts and dumps. Kruse evened the score in the fifth round with a pin fall from a painful reverse double wristlock in which he held his opponent for the greater part of the round. The deciding fall came in the nest round with a similar hold on the same arm.

Following an exchange of elbow; jolts during the last round Russell received a cut below the left eye which necessitated stitching.

WOODS AND BOESCH DRAW

(Feb United Press Association) PALMERSTON X., June 10. Joe Woods and Paul Roesch wrestled a draw r to-night, each securing a fall. The bout was the best seen here this season.

M'CREADY BEATS LEATHERS

(Ree United Pkess Association) WANGANUI, Juno 10.

Easily the best professional wrestling contest ever staged at Wanganui was won to-night by Earl M'Cready, \vho caught Sain Leathers napping in the sixth round and knocked him out with a back slain into which M'Cready threw every ounce of his 17st weight. Leathers, making his first appearance in New Zealand, had the better of the bout, gaining a fall in the second round with a figure four scissors. From then on M'Cready had to defend practically the whole of the time. In the crucial sixth round Leathers again established his figure four scissors and maintained it for a full two minutes. It was obvious that M'Cready was taking severe punishment, but his strength was equal Co it and Leathers had to case the pressure. As he did so. M'Cready rose to his feet and fell backwards on top of bis opponent, knocking him senseless. Leathers remained in the centre of the ring unable to continue, and the bout was awarded to M'Cready, who appeared to be extremely lucky.
