MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otago Land Board was held yesterday, and was attended by Messrs J. Torrance (chairman), G. Livingstone, J. R. M'Culloch, M. A. Kinney, and D. M'Lennan. APPLICATIONS FOR LAND. Alexander Semple, of Lowburn, shepherd, applied for a mining district land occupation lease over 5a Or 30p now known as section 54, block V, Wakefield S.D.—Lease granted at a capital value of £25, subject to the surrender of the existing residence site licences over portion of the area. Application of J. L. Paul for a right to occupy over sections 3 and 4, block XVI, town of Havelock (area 16a Or 35p) previously held by him under mining district land occupation lease. — Granted at an annual rental of 10s, subject to'the right to occupy being terminable on the area being required by the mining company for the commencement of mining operations. G. Thompson.—Held over for report. EDUCATION RESERVE LEASE. The question of the disposal of section 1, block XXV, town of Waihola, held by A. E. Andrews, w’as submitted for the consideration of the board, area lr.—Decision of November 13, 1936, rescinded, and a year-to-year right to occupy granted to A. B. Andrews, at an annual rental of 10s. “ FIFTHS ” OF FOREST REVENUE. Proposals for the expenditure of £l4O 10s sd, “ fifths ” of forest revenue accrued to the Clutha County Council for the period January 1 to March 31. 1930, were approved. Proposals for the expenditure of £O, “ fifths ” of forest revenue accrued to the Lake County Council for the period January 1 to March 31, 1936, were approved. “THIRDS,” ETC. The Lake County Council submitted proposals for the expenditure of “ thirds,” etc., for the period ended April 30, 1936, amounting to £l2 6s lOd.— Receiver authorised to pay. Maniototo County Council (£ll6 13s 2s), Taieri County Council (£lO 8s 4d), and Waikouaiti County Council (£23 13s 8d) were also received, and the receiver authorised to pay. TRANSFERS.
