RETURN TO NEW ZEALAND
(Peb United Press Association) WELLINGTON. June Iffi Well-known as a singer in New Zealand some years ago, Mrs R. Irvine, whose maiden name was Rose Blaney, arrived by the Ruahine from England this afternoon. “I haven’t really been in the musical world for some time in a serious way,” said Mrs Irvine. /
Speaking 6f New Zealand singers now in England, Mrs Irvine said that Mr Lance "Fairfax was doing very well and Miss Stella Murray, another New Zealander, was still to the fore. Among Continental artists Richard Tauber, the German tenor, was very popular with the English public. Airs Irvine left New Zealand for England some years- ago, but has been back twice since then.
