FINAL WEEK OF SEASON The programme • which is being presented by the Hart-O’Brian Vaudeville Company at His Majesty’s Theatre this week is the last of Its Dunedin season. In respect of the wealth of humour that is provided, the variety of the entertainment, and the lavish nature of settings and costumes the production conforms to the high standard set in earlier programmes. Frank O’Brian is never at a loss for something new to say or do, and the sketches in which he appears are delightfully amusing, showing the comedian’s keen appreciation of. the value of a good climax. As a crystal gazer, a coffee stall proprietor, a bridegroom, and in other roles he makes frequent appearances and is always -welcome. Miss Janice Hart, tvho is again entrusted with several of the most important vocal numbers, also appears with the ballet in several scenes which are attractively presented. Perhaps the most popular of these is the Cart-cart danoe. The special turns, consisting of acrobatic, dancipg and juggling items, are all of a type that evoke the warmest appreciation, and the supportingplayers arc all given the opportunity to play an important part in the success of the revue. An interesting Hem is that provided by the Stewart Trio, tho winners of the vaudeville trials conducted by the company. The programme will, be repeated njghtly this week.
