FALL FROM BUILDING MAN DIES FROM INJURIES. (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 9. W. Gardiner, of 15 Cleveland street. Brooklyn, died in hospital to-day following injuries from a fall at the now railway station building yesterday, where he was supervising work in bis capacity as chief clerk of works. MOTORISTS INJURED (Special to Daily Times) TEMUKA. Juno 9. While travelling towards Tokapo on Sunday afternoon Mr J. T. Smart, manopine director of the Tomuka Flourmillinjr Company, and Mr W. B. Sutcliffe, manager of the Temnka branch of the Bank of Australasia, were involved in a motor accident which occurred in the -vicinity of Burke’s Pass, where the road takes a tortuous course for some distance. Mr Smart was badly shaken, but Mr Sutcliffe fared worse, receiving very severe injuries to bis shoulder. Mr Smart was driving the car at the time. Included in the party were Mr 11. D. Wilcox, manager of the Timaru branch of the Bank of Australasia, and Mr White, an inspector of the same bank. Mr Wilcox’s injuries consisted of a shaking and a broken collar-bone, and Mr White escaped with a shaking. The car was extensively damaged. FARM WORKER KILLED (Per United Press Association) TIMARU, June 9. Robert Henry Ocd, aged 21, employed on his father’s farm at Sutherlands, died from head injuries this afternoon. The young man was walking beside a spring dray after calling at Sutherlands railway station when the horse bolted, and it is presumed that Ocd fell in front of the dray, the right wheel passing over his head. He suffered a fractured skull, death being practically instantaneous. DEATH UNDER AN/ESTHETIC Admitted to the Hospital about a week ago, a young man named Alexander Mann, single, who resided at 80 Passmore crescent, died yesterday afternoon while undergoing an operation. An inquest will be held this afternoon. DEATH FROM INJURIES The death occurred in the Dunedin Hospital yesterday of George Harvey, aged 62 years, of 2 Lambeth road, who was admitted on Saturday last. While working under a tip lorry the deceased was struck in the face when the gear slipped, necessitating his removal to hospital, where lie was placed on the dangerously ill list.

FALL FROM TELEGRAPH POLE

Through falling from a telegraph polo in Fryatt street, yesterday, George Donnelly, aged 42, a married man, residing in Castle street. Ravensbourno, suffered bead and back injuries. The injured man was admitted to the Hospital at 11.20 a.in. ARTERY IN NECK SEVERED

MOTOR BODY BUILDER’S DEATH

Fatal injuries were suffered by John Albert M'Leod, aged 55, married, of Mount Albert, when he was struck by a piece of glass this afternoon at the workshops of the motor body building firm by which lie was employed. M'Leod was lying beneath a motor bus when the glass panel above him was broken and a jagged splinter of glass struck him in the neck, severing an artery Although the bleeding was stopped. M'Leod failed to rally and died in hospital.
