OPENING OF PARLIAMENT RELATIONS WITH BRITAIN CAIRO. May 23. (Received May 24, at 8 p.m.) The Premier, Xahas Pasha, read the Speech from the Throne at the opening of Parliament. He announced that AngloEgyptian conversations were proceeding with serenity and cordiality and hoped that tlicv would produce an honourable agreement, embodying Egyptian independence and tightening up AngloEgyptian friendship and alliance.
