UNREST IN IRELAND
REPUBLICAN ARMY MEN ARRESTED STRONG ACTION BY GOVERNMENT DUBLIN, May 22. Seventy Irish Republican Army men, including Maurice Twomey, chief of staff, were arrested throughout the country at approximately the same hour on May 21 under the Public Safety Act. This is the largest Republican round-up since Mr de Yalera came into office. There are now over 130 Republicans awaiting trial. Twomey was taken into custody while, returning from mass.
