REMARKABLE DEVELOPMENTS (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 22. (Received May 24. at 5.5 p.m.) Interesting Post . Ofliee developments which will sliortlv be introduced include a method whereby emergency telephone calls are to receive priority-and an inp'ant response, the establishment of postal inquiry bureaux in large towns, and the introduction of mobile post offices. The last-named are to be hauled by tractors and will attend important functions and sports meetings. The coach will he equipped with modern instruments for the transmission of -telc-n-rams, and be connected with a telegraph office by temporary cables. The same means of temporary cable connection would make it possible to include a telephone service, and there will be two telephones with access in the rear of the coach. In addition, there will also be a stamp-vending machine and a letter box. and the collection of letters and parcels will be made as from an ordinary post office.
