ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM TOUR OF NEW ZEALAND SYDNEY, May 5. The following Australian " soccer" team has been selected to tour New Zealand:— J. M'Nabb, goal. J. Evans and.A. Mackey (Victoria), V. Sharpe (South Australia), backs. E. Bryant, J. Harden, J. Osborne and D. Love (Queensland), halves. J. Wilkinson, A. Cameron, 6. Smith, J. Hughes and J. Donaldson (Queensland), A. White (South Australia), A. Forrest (Victoria), forwards. The players where not indicated belong to New South Wales. The appointment of a captain is left to the manager, Mr S. Storey. The Daily Telegraph, commenting on the team, says: "Quality has been sacrificed for intar-State representation, with the result that the best team has not been chosen. The New South Wales players have every reason to be dissatisfied."
