CHARGE OF ARSON
MAN PLEADS GUILTY COMMUTED FOR SENTENCE (Per United Press Association) MASTKRTON, April 3. A charge of having wilfully set fire to a house at Bideford thereby commit* ting arson, was preferred against Walter Bishop, aged 23, when he appeared in the Magistrate’s Court to-day before Mr H. P. La wry. The accuse,! pleaded guilty and was committed ,o the Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence. Bishop was alleged to have set fire to a house, the property of the trustees of the estate of Adam M’Kay, on January 23. The house was an unoccupied one of six rooms and was burnt to (he ground.
