LABOUR PARTY

CLUTHA VALLEY BRANCH The third annual meeting of ,the Clutha Valley branch of the New Zealand Labour Party was held at Tuapeka Mouth on Tuesday evening, when there was an excellent attendance. Although unsuccessful in capturing the Clutha seat, the numerical strength of the voting fully indicated the value of the Labour organisation in the Clutha electorate. He urged that members should look at their party's activities from a national rather than a parochial point of view, and enjoined all members to increase the branch's membership during the coming year.
