“ WHITE HORSE INN " ARTISTS The popularity which the members of the “White Horse Inn” company, now playing at His Majesty’s theatre, has instantaneously achieved, and the a nouncenient that a special recital is b B organised, at which a number of these artists will appear on the platform, will be received with pleasure, this event w set down for Sunday evening next, at the Regent Theatre, and the object m view is to raise funds for the benefit of the widow and family of Squadron-leader M. C M‘Gre"or, whose recent death as the result of “an accident at Milsom aerodrome created such a wave of aoriow throughout the Dominion, the members of the company arranged a similar recital in Christchurch, with the result that a sum of just on £3OO was raised for the fund. These efforts are able to be made by the courtesy of J. C. Williamson, Ltc ~ and bv the enthusiastic co-operation of all the artists.' Ladies from the chorus as well ns the principals are helping eagerly, and a small committee of citizens has been sot up in Dunedin to lend any assistance which might he. necessary. In every case services are bein# Riven without cost to the fund, and there is a strong desire am on? these workers that the Dunccli return should be greater than that achieved at Christchurch. The attractiveness of the programme to be submitted (details of which will he revealed later) mav bo taken for granted, and admission is by ticket, the possession of which enables the bolder to reserve a sent, these tickets arc, being sold bv members of the “White Horse Inn” company, and may also be obtained at the D.T.C. box office.
