REMEDY FOR SPEEDING
SEALING DOWN OF CARS USEFUL POWER FOR COURTS (Pee United Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 17. A new penalty in cases of dangerous driving and travelling at an excessive speed was suggested by Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., when hearing' by-law cases to-day. He said he had been hoping that power would be given to the court to order the sealing-down of cars so that they could not exceed a given speed. It would be an excellent way of punishing speeding motorists if they could be ordered not to exceed 25 miles an hour over a definite period, and provision could be made to this end by the scalingdown of their cars.
