LANCASHIRE AND YORKSHIRE ASSOCIATION
The ordinary monthly meeting ot the Lancashire and Yorkshire Association was hold on Saturday night, the president (Mr A. Ellis) occupying the chair. In his opening remarks the chairman extended, on behalf of the members, a hearty welcome to Mr and Mrs Stavanger, who were on a holiday from Pembroke, and also to Mr J. Davie, from the West Coast. He also conveyed the appreciation of the members to all those friends who had rendered assistance to the association through the year. Items were given hv the following artists; —Mrs Norman Ellis, "The Lass with the Delicate Air” and “The Wren”; Miss Irene Brooks, “A Little Old Garden ” and “ The Little Green Lane”; Mr F. Swift, "Glorious Devon" and “Looking for Work”; Mrs E, Bradley, “Let the Rest of the World Go By ” and “ Red Rosebud.” Mr C. Frye gave a Lancashire reading entitled "A Trip to Blackpool, and the Lancashire and Yorkshire Glee Party rendered “ Good Night Beloved and "On the Banks of Allan Water.”
