GALATEA SECTIONS
SETTLEMENT DELAYED NEW LEGISLATION AWAITED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 16. It is not now intended by the Government to place some isubdivisions of the Galatea Settlement on the market this season. The Minister of Lands (Mr F. Langstone), in an explanation, ’ said St had been decided to bring down certain land legislation, and such legislation, should, in his opinion, be on the Statute Book before any portion of Galatea was settled. It was not possible to pass such legislation in time to givg future settlers a reasonable start on selections for the next dairying season. The sections would not bo placed on the market till early next year. Settlers already in occupation of sections would get their sections allotted to them, without going to ballot, in accordance with the promise given them.
