A man who cannot be photographed is puzzling the police at Ostrava, in oi avia. After arresting Ivan Slag, a Russian, for alleged suspicious behaviour, they asked whether he objected to being photographed for their records. He said he was perfectly willing, and the police photographer carefully took a picture. But when the plate was developed it was found to be perfectly blank. A second attempt produced the same result. The police became interested—and took six more photographs. Each time the result was a blank. The arrested man then offered to reveal the secret which, he claimed, makes him “ invisible ” to the camera at will, if the police would release him. As they refused, the mystery is still unsolved.
