WESTERN PROVINCE MATCH O’REILLY’S FINE AVERAGE CAPETOWN, March 14. (Received March 15 at 6.30 p.m.) The Australians met Western Province in ideal weather. The wicket was good. Richardson won the toss and sent Western Province in. From the Australian team Grimmett, M‘Cabe, and Fleetwood-Smith stood down. The Western Province team- included the veteran South African internationals H. Taylor and D. Nourse. The latter is the father of the South African test match player. Nourse played sound cricket reminiscent of his form in the good old days and was ably supported by Vanderspuy. O’Reilly again proved a thom in the side of the local , team, taking six wickets for 35 runs. - When the Australians batted Richard son was missed first ball in the slips. Scores: — .
