(Received March 15, at 9 p.m.) The weather was fine for Tattensall s races at Eandwick on Saturday. Peter Pan, although beaten out of a place in the Randwick Stakes, was not disgraced. He was pocketed at the turn, and appeared to falter, yet just miesed a place. The winner, Sarchene, made her own pace, and although hotly challenged by Gay Blonde, lasted long enough to win by a narrow margin. Master Briefly got away badly. Scratchmere Scar shaped reasonably well. Contact looked extremely dangerous to the hast stride. Limarch broke down at the half-nine. The Youthful Stakes was notable tor the failure of Billy Boy, who got a bad start and almost came down at the hail* mile, and finished last. The winner, Talking, won in great style from the much-fancied Spirits. Tnt . _ Egmont was just beaten in City latter sail’s Cup by Salamander, who was always in the leading division. Hadrian fulfilled expectations by winning the Denman Stakes. Limarch fractured the near fore pastern and was removed to the veterinary hospital. The race was won by Princess Myrtle, 20yds bhd. in 3inin 42 4-ssec. Emilius Way’s fastest guit was 2min 14 3-s.se.'. Evicus (injured log) and Hoi I’Or (injured ribs) are still in Adelaide. Evicus and Emilins Way will return to New Zealand in September via Tasmania. Roi I’Or will remain in Adelaide for a few months.
