Dr Samuel Shannon, the Leicester vicar who has been in Leicester gaol since June, when ho was' committed for refusing to answer questions in the Bankruptcy Court, refers, in a message to one of his churchwardens, to a healing gift and states that he believes his return “ from captivity ” will not be long delayed. He writes that “as he has the special gift of healing, he desires it to bo known that he intends to continue to heal at the vicarage by appointment, so people may have their souls cured in church and their bodies healed at the vicarage.” Dr Shannon added this message to his congregation; “Take courage; the worst never happens.” Kaitangata Coni always gives satisfac-tion-obtainable from all coal merchants. —Advt.
