YACHTING MISHAP
SANDERS CUP WINNER DAMAGED BLOWN ON TO MOLE. (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, March 15. Yachting yesterday was marred by a strong south-westerly gale, which caused eight capsizes. Avenger, the winner of the Sanders Cup at Auckland last month, broke her rudder, and, while being towed in, broke away in the heavy sea. She was blown on to the Mole at Gladstone pier, and was seriously damaged.
