THE WEATHER
A light south-easterly breeze on Saturday brought rain clouds, and after a bright morning with a high temperature there was a sudden change about midday, when rain fell. The barometer fell sharply but rose again during the afternoon. Yesterday was bright and fine, with passing clouds. There was a fresh southwesterly breeze, the maximum temperature at mid-day being COdeg. The barometer was high but falling. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times! AUCKLAND, March 15. Fine, sunny weather prevailed over the week-end. The wind was light from the south-east yesterday and moderate from the south-west to-day. The barometer has been steady at 29.95 inches since mid-dav yesterday. WELLINGTON, March 15. The weather on Saturday was fine and sunny, with a strong northerly wind turning to south, with some rain during the night. To-day was sunny with a moderate southerly, gradually decreasing to calm in-, the evening. CHRISTCHURCH, March 15. Glorious weather was experienced over the week-end, with the exception of a little light rain on Saturday night. The fresh breeze dropped during the night and Sunday was brilliant, with little cloud'and,almost no wind. The rainfall for the week-end was only four points. The maximum temperature to-day was C9.6dcg.
