THE OHINEMURI MEETING

(Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, March 13. The weather has been brilliantly fine to-day and conditions promise, to be favourable for the opening of the Ohinemuri Jockey Club's meeting at Paeroa to-morrow, although the track may be a trifle on the easy aide. The win nnd place system of betting will be in operation. In regard to the Awaiti Handicap, which is to be run in divisions, the totalisator for both divisions will close before the start of the first division. The win dividends will be paid in the proportion of 50 per centum to the winner of each division. The amount of the place pool shall be divided into as many equal parts as there are horses placed in the first two places in the respective divisions and allotted accordingly.
