DUNEDIN MALE CHOIR
A golden jubilee is a milestone in progress and that of the men's choir which commenced life as the. Dunedin Liedertafcl, then was known as the Dunedin Wale Choir and latterly the Royal Dunedin Male Choir, is at hand. To ..•oinrneinoratc the event fitting celebrations will be held in May. Rehearsals of choir members', augmented by many ex-members and a score or more of R.S.A. Choir give promise that with the assistance of 50 of the Invercargill Male Choir, a choir of 150 voices and a good orchestra, the presentation of that lovely work " The Desert" (Felicien David) on Saturday, March '2B, in the Town Hall, will be a worth-while production. Mr Alfred Walmsley is the soloist. The first part of the programme will be rendered by the members and ex-mem-bers assisted by the tenor Mr John Leech, a quartet party from the choir, and the pianist, Mr Robert Henry, Invercargill. Bright new folk songs have been procured for the occasion, and the public is urged to book early for the jubilee concert.
